Quick question about HCA. The ACA diamond on the first post that I am fairly certain I will get tomorrow scored a 1.8. HCA should only be used to eliminate diamonds by not looking at ones above 2 correct? It doesn''t matter that it is close to 2?

You can consider diamonds scoring between 2 and 3 but these need to have top symmetry!

Thanks to everybody who helped me. I didn''t know anything about diamonds before I came here besides what a carat meant. Know I feel like I know so much more than 99% of the general diamond purchasing population with the top 1% being everyone else on pricescope.
If I didn''t find PS I would have been lost.

Any shreds of sanity I have left will be gone when I have to wait OVER 2 MONTHS TO PROPOSE!!

There needs to be a men in waiting to propose forum or something. This has to be way worse than waiting to be proposed to.

hahaahahahha I only laugh cause I'm right there with you. I don't plan on proposing till at least March or so, maybe even June, depending on how things work out with proposal plans. I know I bought the ring super early, but I did it because it felt right, and I'm happy with that.

My plan in the meantime:
1) keep ring in safe deposit.
2) try to forget i bought ring.
3) keep shopping with GF to keep her guessing
4) ...
5) Profit! err... Propose!!

Note: Plan not guaranteed to retain any levels of sanity. Poster isn't even sure it will work for him.

I never even thought of putting it in a safe deposit box, I think I am going to have to do that.

I assumed there would be disagreeing about waiting to propose, so how about waiting for either just is terrible. It''s a tie.

Just curious though, how much did you pay for a WG-palladium setting from WF?

I''m looking at getting a diamond of approx the same size from WF too, and wondering if it''ll be cheaper to get the setting done at WF or a local jeweler.

18k palladium white gold was $100 extra. Not sure if it is for all rings, but that was the charge for mine.
