I get told EVERY time we are with my mom''s family, how much I look like her when she was little... so I''m gonna go with I look like my mom.

I guess I am a mix but my daughter is my mini me. Her eyes are hazel but besides that she looks EXACTLY like I did at her age.

Smurfy, I think you look like your mom from your eyes up, and your dad from your nose down. You definitely have your mom''s eyes and your dad''s mouth.

I am the spitting image of my dad while my older sister looks exactly like my mom (and has her mannerisms). My DD looks just like her dad, build, hair, eyes, lips, and his annoying habit of cracking her knuckles!

I am a real blend of both parents, but I think I look slightly more like my dad. My son, however, looks exactly like his dad. His nose is starting to look more like mine, but he looks way more like my husband than like me.

I look like my dad. My kids look just like me.

I looked like dad''s side of the family in my earlier years. Now I am a carbon copy of my mum. I got lucky with my mum

Ditto here on everything, Porridge. Still have my dad''s eyes, though!

I have a theory that if the first child is female she will look more like her father, equally, if the first child is male, he will look more like his mother. This is not backed by any science - but that's what I have found with most people I have known :)

Second child? well I don't have any theories there.

As for me? I look like my daddy - I've even inherited his mannerisms

Oh, you might be right! I'm the first and only child and when I was younger I looked so much like my dad they nicknamed me 'Ernestina,' a feminized version of his name.

As I got older though, I think I started to look equally like my parents and inherited a lot of both of their mannerisms. I have my mom's laugh, which I never realized until I heard it on tape last year!

I'm an only, definitely look more like my dad!

Fortunately got my mum's normal-sized hands and fingers, though.

FI is the youngest of three, at any given age he looks exactly the same as his dad used to look when he was younger! They have so many of the same mannerisms, too...it's bizarre to watch them together, sometimes

For the longest time I didn''t think I looked like either, but now I''d have to say slightly more like my mother.

Almost all mom. My hair & eyes are a bit darker- pretty much black instead of her dark brown- and I have my dad''s mouth. But my build, my facial features, my voice etc- it''s all mom. Oh and two wildcards from neither parent- the super duper white skin. Both parents have very dark olive skin. And my nose resembles nobody''s in my family that I''ve ever seen, at all.

I must look A LOT like my dad. I''ve had total strangers approach me on the street and say, "You''re Terry''s daughter, aren''t you?" Ummmm, yeah . . . and you are? LOL!

But I have my mom''s hands. I mean, our hands are identical . . . it''s weird. And I have my grandfather''s ears!

I look like my mom''s side of the family, but not my mom, if that makes sense. My grandma and my aunt got the Scottish coloring, and my mom is dark, tans super easily and has black hair. She looked Japanese when she was a baby! But I look like her more than I look like my dad.

Me (oldest) - Mom
Sister - Dad, with no trace of my mom, LOL!
Brother - Mom and Dad mixed. He looks like my mom''s dad when he was a teen, but is practically a twin of our cousins on dad''s side.

I look like my dad. Not so much now, but when he was younger.

My self, my sister and my brother all look like a 50/50 mix of our parents, and each in different ways. No clones in this family.

I do think it''s odd that even though my mom dark brown hair none of us kids inherited it -> 2 light browns and a blond!
I though dark brown usualy dominated.

You should post a pic - your ear and your grandfather''s ear, and we can compare

Me too! I look nothing like her but my hands are a perfect copy of hers.

When I was a kid I looked like my father and my older sister looked like my mother. Now I look just like my mother but have my fathers side body type (brick house) while my sister looks like my father but had my mothers body type (short and slim with hips). We both however got my fathers feet and my nephew got my fathers feet. We call them Smith feet they are as wide as they are long with short toes. My dad tells us they are good for climbing mountains!

Both! In some ways, I look a lot like my father and especially his younger sister. At the same time, I have a lot of my mother and her mother in me.

My elder daughter and my son look almost exactly like me (and my son looks just like my father as a kid!) except they have my husband's coloring, and my daughter has his eyes. My younger daughter is harder to place. In some ways, I think she looks like my sister (who doesn't look like me much at all), and in other ways she looks like my husband and his father. She really has her own look, though, especially compared to her older sister, who my husband calls "little Clio."

I look like me.

I don''t know that I resemble either parents but my sisters and I sure look a lot alike.

I look like both. My coloring is dads, blonde/blue eyes..but there are times I think I look more like mom, and times I think I look more like dad.

London looks exactly like me, but her eyes changed to brown to match JD''s. Trapper looks exactly like JD. Sometimes it''s downright scary looking at them, especially London b/c I get a dizzy vertigo feeling, like I''m somehow looking at myself.

I might have to agree with this! My older sister resembles my dad much more than my mom. I, however, was like a spitting image of my mother through most of my childhood. My little sister seems to have gotten the best traits from both of them. Totally unfair in my opinion......

Here is my mother and I last March. I obviously have about 20 pounds and 4 inches on her. (ETA: she's in heels and I'm not. Guess I don't look that much taller!)

Here we are again. I used to look more like her when I, ahem, had a different nose.....

Oh, and we were in Egypt at a galabeya party, hence the outfits.

I don''t look like either!

When I was little I looked just like one of my paternal cousins. Now that I''ve grown out of my baby fat, my dad has recently mentioned that I look very much like one of my maternal cousins.

I dunno...Maybe I could just say my parents genes were distributed pretty evenly?

People say I don''t look like either one, so I must be a blend. Growing up, my sisters always tease me about being picked up at the trash can since people say I don''t look like my parents. LOL. My two sisters (my parents had three girls and I am the middle child) look like my dad''s side of the family.

DD is a blend of DH and me. She has my eyes, and her lips look like DH''s (to me anyways).

Same thing that princesss said.. when they meet my mom first they think I look like her and when they meet my dad first, I look like him!

Hm... I have my dad''s nose and teeth and I have green eyes and my mom has blue eyes and my dad brown...

I personally think that I look like my dad''s mom a TON. I have her wedding picture and I feel like I look like her. My mom tends to disagree but... my parents did just get divorced

I am a complete mixture of the two.

My mom.

Neither, really. I have the same profile as my dad''s sister though, so people sometimes assume she''s my mom.

I''m a carbon copy of my dad. We might be clones. His his wrinkly knuckles, his wrinkly eyes, nose, mouth, hairy arms and face, and WMD toenails. I even got his personality; his inability to express himself and his absent mindedness. Too bad I only have half his brain and still trying to enter the same profession.

My sister is like monkeypants and qtiekiki. She looks like neither of our parents, but my mom assures her that she looks like our aunt (her sister). She is blessed with our dad''s brains with our mom''s artistic skills. She is also blessed with the perfect half moon smile from our aunt and the ability to befriend anyone from another aunt. Yes, I''m jealous, and I''m supposedly the older one
5.gif

I look like a good combination of Mom and Dad, but I take after my dad''s side of the family physically. Some of my features though, is more prominently my mom''s side of the family. I look like my favorite aunt (mom''s side) more than my mom.
