resale value of diamonds

Dear All,

I understand that if one were to resell a diamond chances are high that you would receive only about 50 cents to the dollar. With that in mind, should we laypersons purchasing diamonds stay away from SI1/SI2 clarily diamonds (i.e. will they fetch disproportionately lower value on resale, god forbid one were forced to resell)?

no, in my opinion.
Get the most for your money you can now and thats eyeclean si grade diamonds.
If your worried about resale value then dont buy diamonds.
The odds are you will never get what you paid for it out of it anytime soon no matter what grade it is.
