Like some people, I have been browsing the PriceScope Forum for quite some time trying to educate myself about H&A diamonds. Well, I''m thinking that it might be time to possibly make a purchase. I am currently looking at two H&A Round diamonds, and wanted to get some thoughts from people.

GoodOldGold 1.37ct G VS1 H&A Diamond - $11,430 (Bank Wire Price)
http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/6791

WhiteFlash 1.356ct G VS1 H&A Diamond - $10,535.50 (Pricescope wire price)
http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/Whiteflash-ACA-cut-diamond-2097595.htm

From the other forum threads, I know that I probably won''t go wrong with either one of the vendors. However, I wanted to know which diamond is better (i.e. whether the GoodOldGold diamond is worth the $894.4 difference). I''ve actually started emailing GoodOldGold already, since I''m also thinking about a Vatche x-prong and GoodOldGold is a Vatche retailer.

Any Pros and Cons on the two diamonds is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance to those helping this newbie.

WF is also a Vatche dealer again so that puts you back into square 1. :P

Both look good to me so toss a coin I guess. :P

Both are outstanding diamonds! I can''t see anything that could cause me to say one is better than the other.

You may know this already, but generally it is best to purchase the diamond and setting from the same vendor if possible so that the diamond would be covered in the rare case of it being damaged during the setting process.

Thanks for the feedback. So based on the two responses so far, choosing between the two diamonds seems to be a trade off of $894.4 for an extra 0.014 ct.

I am planning to buy the diamond and the setting from the same vendor, but wanted to take care of the diamond purchase decision first.

I noted that WhiteFlash do have some Vatche settings on its site. But when I go to Vatche''s site (http://www.dvatche.com/mp/retailers.html), WhiteFlash isn''t listed as a retailer, but GoodOldGold is. So I was thinking that GoodOldGold may be more of a official retailer. Or does it make a difference?

Call Vatche up, probably they just have yet to update their site as WF has only recently just got back the line. There is no such thing as a non-official dealer, either you are or you are not.

Absolutely, they are both great diamonds and its a matter of priorities which you choose.

I like both diamonds, so I''m no help.

Thanks for the additional comments. Jonathan of GoodOldGold adjusted the pricing, so I have now reserved the diamond on hold. GoodOldGold is currently preparing some videos, so I can get more visual of the diamond.
