Reputable source for faceted gem beads?

I am interested in getting some faceted gem beads to make a wire wrapped link necklace. I have seen faceted gem beads in a lot of different places--intergem shows, and on ebay for sure. Has anyone bought faceted gem beads and thought the quality was particularly good? I just feel like I am really rolling the dice on this purchase! I am looking for black spinel among other types of gems (if available)

Susan's easy to communicated with saw black spinel beads in her shop.
I can't quite remember what I bought from - not sure if I got any faceted beads.
