Is it possible for a D color, IF marquise, VG polish, G symmetry, thin to medium faceted girdle, no fluorescence, no culet, D63.8, T54, 10.71x5.91x3.77 to appear cloudy? It didn''t seem to be all that sparkly or brilliant, it just seemed to be "whiter" than 2 other marquise with the same color and clarity I used for comparison. Thanks for your help!

There is such a thing as a "Fancy white" diamond. They look as if someone mixed some white paint into them. They are very rare and not many people know they exist.

Does the diamond have a formal grading report/certificate, and if so from where?

Thanks for replying. The certificate is from GIA. Do you think I should hold onto this diamond, or do you think I should try to get a more sparklier diamond? It is driving me crazy because I already put a deposit down on it, because the specs looked so good on PAPER! Thanks for all your help!

Thanks for replying, Mr. Sherwood; would most vendors mind if I decided to go with another diamond, even though I already put a deposit down for the first diamond? Thanks!

Depends on the vendor. Most would take it in stride, and be happy to have your business on another stone.
