How easy would you think this is? I have the endless love setting without halo and I think the prongs are too thick, come up too high and it doesn''t look that much like the other Ritani''s pictured here. Would the entire head have to be replaced? The prongs extend down towards the ring, but the basket is inset with diamonds. I just wouldn''t want the prongs to be thick in the middle and thinner on top.

It''s not a serious issue, but it does bother me. I know I''m just having a minor freak out...

The picture I attached isn''t mine, it''s Mara''s friend''s ring.

i''ve never thought the ritani prongs were too thick but if it''s bothering you I''d see about having your vendor ship it back to Ritani and see what they can to about thinning them out.

Agreed. You think yours looks different from the picture? Can you get pictures? Is it just that your stone is smaller? Because that will happen...

Hi there, Mrs.S! You are always too helpful.

No, the Ritani''s that I''ve seen pictured here seem just perfect, but I remember that the vendor described my prongs as "sturdy" and "not exactly like the pictures I sent, but very similar". I thought, "uh-oh....". He did say that it would wear well and I probably wouldn''t have to worry about losing the stone. That''s a reassuring thought, but I will have to send it back to get that yellow stone popped out of the band and thought maybe I should get both done at the same time.

This is the picture I received before it was shipped.

Yes, my stone is smaller than the one pictured. Mine is a 1.21 and the other is 1.6, I think? Could size make that much difference?

sabrina,
i''m not sure how much Ritani can thin out the prongs but I would certainly think they could shave down the tips a bit which would help IMO.

oops, wrong thread.

I agree. They are a bit more intrusive than I would like too. I think that would help a lot.

I do think part of what you''re seeing is the difference in the stone size. Ritani prongs are very well done. I think there is a lot of talk here about tiny Leon prong tips, but that is certainly not the only desirable look for prongs! I also really love that setting, and had you shown me your picture and asked what do I think, I would have said, it''s gorgeous!!!
