Hi Everyone, I hope you're all well. I have had quite the struggle the past few weeks in finding reputable authentic resellers of luxury brand watches, JLC/Rolex/Cartier/Chopard...etc. I've had offers for some watches which were a bit sketchy, as in there was no box, paperwork, or anything except the watch, yet I was told (this was from a website) it was 100% authentic. In todays world with counterfit watches at every turn it's SO hard to trust these people, especially when an excellent deal is being dangled in your face. The Rolex I was looking at from the same site had a quartz crystal instead of a sapphire crystal...which is to be put bluntly, (IMO) really odd, and a red flag  . So I'm trying to find reputable dealers (as I would really hate to spend so much money on a watch at Cartier, even though I would LOVE to have one) that may have them for cheaper prices, or even secondhand watches, but certified. Any websites anyone can recommend I would be so grateful for. Thank you all and take care :)

I 2nd the recommendation for Timezone. I used to participate there several years ago when I bought my Rolex and refurbed by grandfather's Rolex and Elgin.

Reliable authentic Cartier/ Rolex dealers?

Authorized dealers are the only truly "reliable" dealers. You can't do business with a gray market (unauthorized) seller and "rely" on them- your warranty will be voided.

Also, for some (if not all, although last I heard only 10% off on a Rolex) of these watches, they don't sell at retail at authorized dealers. You can negotiate a price based on what you could get the watch for on the gray market plus some money for the fact they're an actual dealer, are presumably giving you get customer service, and can act as the liaison between you and the watch company if your watch needs warranty repair(s).

I would only buy from an AD (authorized dealer) or used hopefully mint condition from TimeZone's sellers' forum. Personally I would never buy an expensive watch from an unauthorized dealer.

Thank you SO very much everyone :)
