PLEASE forgive my ignorance on what seems to be a very basic geometry question.
What is the relationship of depth percentage to table percentage? Am I correct in assuming that if the two numbers are very close, then the table is nearly as wide as the widest part of the diamond (girdle)? If so, what affect does this have on overall light return/beauty. For example, I''m looking at this stone:
Carat Weight: 1.03
Color: H
Clarity: VS2
Shape: Round
Depth: 59.8%
Table: 58%
Polish: VG
Symmetry: VG
Culet: NO
Girdle: THN-MED F
Fluorescence: None
Measurements: 6.6x6.64x3.96
I''m on a bit of a limited budget, so I am attemting to find a high-quality stone at a decent price (who isn''t?)...I noticed this diamond because of it''s spread, but then noticed it''s comparable table depth and became concerned.
Thanks for your help!
