Hey guys! Newbie here. I've never ordered a custom before but let's just say I'm not happy with the photos I received yesterday. I've been working and talking with a family jewelry place, had received and shown example pictures, etc. Overall the ring looks good but I specially asked for deep red lab fire opals, as my fiance (male) loce them. The gems look pink! I know the jewelers I worked with outsourced the opals but I don't know wether I can get a refund or have them fix it. I was also promised that they would deeply inset the gems, by pre carving a hole into the metal and then setting the gem, and from the one picture they sent it doesn't look flush at all. Their website doesn't have an info on their TOS, I was stupid and just trusted them because they fixed a very important creation pendant of mine for free, and a majority of their work is absolutely lovely. I'm waiting for th to open or send more pictures, but I'm not sure if they will be able/ willing to swap the gems, because otherwise I just want a refund.

Attached pictures include the ring, and the others are example photos she gave me of how the opal was supposed to look, as well as my mock up of how I wanted the ring to look.

Yeah, those stones are pink, not red. But also, lab fire opals look like that. Your inspo pics look like black opals, not fire opals

Yeah I requested I believe Ethiopian black fire opals, they're like a unique blend where they're black and red.
