Reflections inside the diamond?

Ok, so I''ve heard the explanations about how the line you see through the profile of the diamond is the reflection of the girdle, or the crown... ok, maybe I''m confused now and I forgot. But, now my question is, why does the tip of the diamond at the culet look dark. Is this a reflection too?
