Red beryl just arrived

I bought a red beryl from Dana this week, and the sweet little stone just arrived. I think she's a keeper.
Now I just need to find a setting. Dana recommended a pendant, so maybe a halo of diamonds would be nice...
Sorry for the picture quality, the pics were taken with my iphone. I'll take some better ones this weekend.

Wow, that is so much darker than on his website! The first photo, if accurate for color, makes it look like a pretty, almost pure red stone. Is it? Congratulations to you! Bixbite, right?

Yes, it is a bixbite. Unfortunately my camera phone is not very good at capturing the true color. It's a pinkish red with some translucence. The color is consistent throughout the stone. I wish I could give a better description.
Hopefully, the pictures tomorrow will show a better image.

The name bixbite has now been deprecated by CIBJO, the World Jewellery Confederation, to avoid confusion with another mineral, bixbyite. No more bixbite. You can call it just....red beryl!
What is the weight of it?
Clarity?

I love the color too! Isn't red beryl considered to be a red emerald? I have heard they are quite rare so you must feel very fortunate to have one in your collection.
