Recycled vintage earrings

I bought these older(?)diamond studs at an estate sale last year, but I never really liked them. They are high quality diamonds in Stuller settings.
Today I finally figured out what to do with them. I put them together to form a pendant. These diamonds are fiery, but hard to capture with cell phone camera!

Well, I only paid $18 for the earrings. I really didn't know what I was gonna do with them, but the diamonds were nice and I couldn't walk away!

Are they set in SS or gold?
I'm only asking because they look like white gold but ive only known you to work with SS so either they're unique and are set in SS or your skill set was totally undetected by me girly!

The earrings are 14k white gold. The bail that I made is SS. I have no problem mixing things up!
Besides, the metals appear identical. If there are any jewelry rules, I don't play by them!

I was absolutely never gonna wear them as earrings. I have .90 TW diamond studs that I wear all the time. I was tired of seeing them languishing in my jewelry box, unworn and unloved!

Ok, I decided to change it. I thought it needed a little something.
So I added a tiny curved leaf, to compliment the organic vibe. The metal is super reflective so it was kinda hard to capture the details.
