Recuts?

Yesterday, I read that Jeff White is no longer doing re-cuts.

I don''t know if this subject has been covered in detail before - if so, forgive me (but post a link!). Is there merit do you think in compiling a list of people who do re-cuts?

Perhaps people who have commissioned recuts and have before and after shots could post them on this thread.

I have a girlfriend with a sick looking emerald pear with a serious chip at the apex. I''d like to know who best can help her.

I know John L. is still doing recuts. I've seen him post here a few times but he's been extremely busy of late. He's doing a recut for me right now and promised to have it done by Tuesday. I'm not sure what name he posts under.

Recuts aren't easy and involves quite a bit of risk, sometimes more so than with starting with a rough material, so I understand why a cutter will no longer do recuts.
