Hi all,

I am shopping for my first ring, and I could really use some advice. My goal is to choose a ring that will sit 'flush' with a future wedding band. My GF is a very detail-oriented person, so having little to no gap between the wedding band and ring is very important.

I have been dropping hints here and there, and I have discovered that she really likes the 'bling' factor of wedding bands similar to this one from JA.

Settings wise, she really likes the classic Solitaire, or something very simple to offset the flashiness of the band. My question is which of the following will sit flush against the above band from JA? Also, do you think this style setting is a good fit for this band?

As for the center stone, I have my eye on the following:
1.31ct, G, VS1, AGS000, HCA 1.3

She is a size 5.75 finger

i think the only one that will sit 100% flush is the vatche royal crown, the James Allen 6 prong Knife edge will sit very close to flush as will the other vatche.

I know Henri Daussi makes a solitaire that will sit flush - it's much more delicate in real life. You may want to search for settings similar to this, as they will def. sit flush

Ditto this... any setting with a donut or similar won't sit flush. Just make sure that the band she likes will not be too tall to fit underneath the Vatch Royal Crown.

Many thanks for the advice. I am going to head over to my local D'Vatche retailer and check out the RC and 6-Prong in person. Cheers!

^^ If that first one came in a 6-prong, I'd be sold. It's Beautiful!

The last one is nice, but I'm not sure if I'm a fan of the prongs... it kinda makes the round diamond look like a hexagon.

I should have mentioned that my GF prefers a 6-prong. I do too for the added stability.

Not necessatily - if the shank tapers towards the donut, the question is whether the width of the donut exceeds the width of the shank at the bottom of the ring.
