Ahhhhh, well I finally did the deed. I thought that I was going to buy in the next week and I did it tonight.
I went with the white gold, and saphire setting from Blue Nile.
After all the reading and everything I got from this board I went ahead and chose a diamond that seemed to be the overall best with the money left in my budget and the knoweldge/input I received here. The only thing that I was uneasy about after reading the board was buying a pear without seeing it first. I read that over and over, and it is the only thing I didn''t do, but I think I will be happy. Before I post the specs I want to wait and see it, so that I can be happy with it first.
God! I took so much into consideration, I anaylized everything like crazy and read, and read, and read some more. I do know that what I bought is something better than I would have gotten before finding this board, so I know I will be happy.
All of you are soooo soooo into this and I understand why. It is very interesting. I have enjoyed this. You seem to know the importance of things that I never knew exsited, so here is what I need some reassurance on...
My girlfriend has some basic jewlery, it is all yellow gold. When I was in Venezuela the last time visiting her, her sister said: "I like silver, she likes gold". (meaning yellow) I wasn''t looking for a ring at the time, but now I remember her sister saying that.
I went with the sapphires because I know that she loves blue. I finally chose the setting that I did because I think it would be beautiful on her finger; I could not fight that setting for the life of me, however it is white gold.
Is it that big of a deal for you yellow gold people when you get white gold? (or when you white gold/platinum people get yellow?)
I''m just curious. I am feeling good about what I did, but girls have a different way of seeing things that I have no clue about.
Thanks a million!
