Time for another thread. Things that we see that aren't so totally over the top that we know they're fake, but still, we think they should go back to gemology school...

Here are two to start off:

Color change amethyst. Really? Doesn't mean it doesn't exist, just that its a new one for me:

Next up: Listed as "Natural VVS "Be-Heat" Padparadscha Sapphire 1.02ct" Has anyone ever seen a Padparadscha this color?!!

Houdini amethyst is right...I think we'd all be scrambling over that one I think the name Pad stretches a looooong way these days

The even sadder thing is that those who don't know gemstones well believe it.

And it is just a coincidence that the colours on that amethyst seem to be very close to synthetic corundum.
