Really cool Halo ring I got

I was told to brag about this ring I got so I guess I will do it.
I got it online from www.thediamond.com
The center is a 3.5 carat fancy yellow diamond cushion cut.
The ring is platinum and the box for the cushion cut is a special refractive 18k gold.
I am super pleased with it and I have to tell you the few stores in my area that had something even close to it wanted double.
I feel like I hit the jackpot!

I think it may be.

It's not the same exact ring. The OP's ring has more (& smaller) melee diamonds on the halo than the stock image on their site (OP's ring is second in pic below).

I don't know about never ever, but you make a good point. In the other thread, I initially thought there was yellow gold lining the inside of the basket. I didn't think there was an actual gold cup inside the basket. I definitely wouldn't want that. I'd want to see my diamond also.

Nevertheless, it is still a very, very pretty ring. Even if it may turn out to be spam

what a pretty ring. I've never seen a setting quite like that either, but won't it make cleaning it hard? It seems like it would take some sparkle away too since not as much light can get in.
