Thanks violet, thanks exactly the carat weight i wanted to see! BTW your ring is gorgeous!

Thanks bluebell!!! Here''s a fun one where you can see what everyone else sees when i am wildly moving my hands around as i am known to do....

I''m known for this as well! The only time anyone ever notices my rings is when I''m flapping my hands about when talking. Your eternity band is really pretty, Violet! How wide is it?
Hello fellow hand flapper
35.gif
my eternity band is 3mm wide...

Thanks for the compliment on my ering - i love it
emlove.gif
. In fact, when i was looking for an ering, i was contemplating either a five/seven stone band or an eternity band. I just really liked the bands that went all the way around, rather than just across the top. One of my best friends said ''for you, get the eternity band...you use your hands a lot when you speak and people will see it!'' I knew then that everyone knows about my hand flapping and i am ok with it

I can tell I''m in great company! One day at work someone was teasing me and doing my talking with wild hand gestures, stopped mid-sentence, asked to borrow my ring, and then started again. The joys of being a bit of a flapper! It gets your rings noticed!

Your''s are an excellent size on your hand. And a great inspiration for me someday since I have about the same size hands!! I someday hope to have an eternity band as pretty as yours.

Hi this was my ring (chunky style) before I got it reset into an eternity style setting with matching eternity band, delicate style.

And just for perspective-my very first diamond ring-tiny rb in yellow gold (around .10 ct if I remember correctly) which I sometimes wear when I travel with this even tinier yellow gold band.

My ring is nowhere near as big as the others in this forum, but this gives you a good perspective of what others see. Mine is a .55 x-factor princess in a Tiffany style solitaire setting. This photo is one of our engagement shots... the photographer (a great friend of ours) used a really HUGE lens and stood probably 100 feet or more away from us. I think it''s kind of cool that it''s more about the light catching the diamond than the size of the diamond. You can certainly see the ring on my size 5 1/2 hand, but it''s not huge.

Hope this helps!

What a fun thread!
LOL, okay- so here''s mine.. 1.5 carats with a half carat eternity band on a size 7 finger.
So- forgive the expression, it was Derby Day and I had one too many mint juliets- forgive the hat, again Derby Day and shame on me, I didn''t bring a proper bonet- forget the nose, my mom''s Italian ;-)
Here it is... I think I need a halo now- it always seemed so much bigger ;-)

1 karat on a 5.25 finger.

After reading this thread... https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/i-dont-know-if-i-love-my-ring.118588/ ... I started really wondering about The Real Ladies of Pricescope. It blows my mind to have a 25 year old girl upset that her husband to be ONLY bought her a 1.8 karat ring.

I would REALLY like to know what kinds of jobs you and your husbands have and how they relate to these fantastic rings. In my head you have to be a millionaire to be able to have a 2+ karat diamond! Maybe it''s too personal of a question? Anyone else think like this?

CharmCity, I wonder about this, too Maybe "The Real Lives of Pricescope Women" should be a new thread (or cable TV show!) In my world (the Midwest) growing up in the 1960s and ''70s, .25 carat was the average size diamond; .50 carat would get you noticed at church, and 1.0 carats were worn by just a few women, many of whom had inherited their "large" diamonds! Today, I see more and more young (under 30) women with 1-carat-plus stones in settings that cost 2 and 3 grand, and I don''t understand where the money comes from. Store financing?

Me, I have a .53 ct. diamond set in platinum that was an anniversary present (I''m 50 years old!). If I upgrade, I''ll maybe look at something around .75 to 1.0 carats, but my friends would truly laugh at me if I showed up at yoga class wearing something bigger! I''m a college professor and my husband is a graphic designer, so we are in good paying jobs, too!

Here''s the real life perspective of my ring on my 7.75 finger -- shown without my 2 mm micro-carat eternity band. (According to the ring size/carat size chart that floats around PS, my diamond should be at least 2 carats to ensure adequate finger coverage! Going to miss that mark, I guess!).

Def- the process that happens when you have had your stone for a while and it starts to look smaller to you! Can be triggered by spending too much time looking at
all the pretty rocks on pricscope!
