Re-setting Lightbox 2ctw Studs? What should I do with the diamonds?

I had Lightbox 2ctw studs set in platinum with Protektor backs over a year ago. Sadly, I have not worn them at all other than to try them on due to COVID and not leaving the house. Part of me wants to keep them as is, in case I want to wear them in the future. Another part of me wants to reset them into an alternate ring (4-stone or halo) and/or pendant necklace. It would be a fun project and I might get more wear out of them. I'm not interested in selling them, I would rather just keep them as is, but should I re-set them?!

If the primary reason for not wearing them is being home due to covid I’d probably give it a little more time before resetting them.

Yeah, they aren’t going to dissolve if you give it a few more months… maybe you will be back to wearing pretty earrings soon.

i didn't wear my 1 tcw studs for 3 years to then realised rather abruptly that diamond shrinkage is a real thing

Why don't you go put them in now and wear them this week ?

I haven't been much of anywhere since this whole pandemic started and I wear my diamonds daily. Put them on and enjoy!

do you have earrings you wear every day or are you not wearing any at all right now? i would try wearing the studs around the house first. =D

i'd wanted to buy a couple of lightbox diamonds to make a wrap but waffled during the last 2 sales...if you don't end up getting more use out of them as earrings maybe a wrap or turn something else into a 3 stone?

As much as I love following along on a reset journey, I’d probably keep them as is in this case. If you had other earrings you wear more often a reset would make sense, but if it’s just a matter of no bling during Covid, are you really likely to wear a super blingy new ring?

I will say I had a lot of fun watching the Bloomie’s sales and everyone’s reset projects. Just like the rest of PS these days, those have seemed to slow down.
