Thanks everyone for your help. I guess I am hung up on size and it has been difficult to find an affordable radiant cut at 1.2 carats. Is EGL cert the main reason to turn down the 1.2 carat, and if so, where do the egl certs falter? Thanks again, interested to hear any further opinions.

EGL-LA and EGL-NY are two of the more reputable labs
to have your diamond reports from if you go that route. GIA, AGS, and HRD are the three toughest acts to follow in the diamond grading field, that is why they are prefered as the top choices. Due to their stringent grading systems.

Regardless of the report it would still be wise to have the diamond examined by an expert just to make sure the stats match up.
