I really would appreciate help in designing a setting for an .81c pink diamond heart. :wavey:

Hi honey. What a beautiful color.

Is it for a ring or pendant?

Hi Gypsy :wavey: This will be for a ring.

Really pretty! I'd suggest some rose gold around the actual heart to help the pink stand out. I have a white gold flower pendant with little pink diamonds in the middle and there is rose gold just around the diamonds to help them pop a little.

What about a pink sapphire halo in rose gold, with the halo tucked slightly underneath the stone?

Mmmmm.
Lovely color! :lickout: :lickout:

I know they aren't for everyone but since you asked for suggestions . . . I heart tension settings.

Mrs. B B, I like the idea of a pink gold bezel around the heart. Thanks :wavey:

Kenny, tension settings (yours and your SO's) are great for guys, but a heart (feminine?) doesn't appeal to me.

MissStepcut, I'm not sure about the pink sapphires; it would be hard to get so many pale sapphires. If the sapphires were a brighter pink, they might out shine the the light pink of the heart.

It might be nice to have a double halo with the inner being bright white and the outer pale pink. Costly too, though. :(( Keep thinking, please ::)

rose gold bezel and a white gold or plat shank.

I like this for sure, but no halo at all??

You have such a lovely stone! I have always wanted a pink diamond and I think it's most beautiful as a heart. I like my heart shapes bezel-ed or haloed. I'd halo it with white diamonds for contrast but I'm loving your idea of the double halo in white and pink diamonds...Eek, I can't wait to see what you decide!

Maybe I'm weird but I'd do a simple rose gold bezel like the Tiffany Bezet. I don't think hearts do well with fussiness. And a rose gold bezel would really be a sleek and contemporary contrast to the romantic pink heart. Although... it may not have enough contrast. In which case I'd do east/west baguettes in the shank... like this but in rose gold... a heart in the center, and instead of french cuts, baguettes. And I would ask Victor for a quote.

I love this setting for a heart. It would look lovely in any metal. It is one of my favorite settings for a heart shaped stone. I love hearts!

luv2sparkle that is perfect!! I have never seen a heart shaped setting that I was very found of, but I would just adore a pink heart in that setting... (in white gold with a rose gold bezel)

I have to agree that setting would be STUNNING!!!

Very pretty heart. I too would go for a rose gold bezel set ring.

It's heart-tastic. I'd call Pearlmans and see if Beverly K would be able to get close to this if you like it. They do two tone and they have a ring very close to this for a round so I think it would be a good, and affordable, way to get this. 23rd Street has gorgeous stuff but it usually costs the earth.

That heart halo setting with rose gold would be perfect!
