Re: 2 carat round and 3 stone setting

Just posted my question on a 2 carat round just below. When I finally make a decision on which 2 carat round to purchase I want to put it in a 3 stone platinum setting. Should I use a 6 or 4 prong setting? What size round stones would look appropriate next to the 2 carat round stone, .25 ct less or more? The main stone would be raised. Thank you for your opinions. Bump to get this thread back up there. Maybe someone with better knowledge can help with the 3 stone accent diamond sizes.

Another guy was looking last week for diamonds for a 3 stone ring. He was using a 75% formula. The sides would be 75% the size of the center. But, I've seen 50% as well, usually on much smaller rings. Center is .5 carat and sides are .25 carat each.

Hope you get some good advise!
