Thank you for starting this thread. I had been meaning to, just havent had a chance. Yes the stuff is exquisite and that is costly, but!; there are things to be had. I remembered the limited edition silver and 18tk tiki pendant they had made and sold out of. But yesterday, when I asked, Ken found two of them in the safe! They had been NZ$425. I bought only one so ....if the other is gone too there are still things to be had. Call, don't write or post!

Robinson Designer Goldsmith in New Zealand. Mike and his twin brother David make the most exquisite hand forged jewelry.Ken is their father and he is retiring. They are closing their New Zealand jewelry boutique- but I doubt we've seen the last of their exquisite pieces.

Even at the price of the NZ$ vs. the U.S. $, I'm heartbroken that I still can't afford some of those really beautiful pieces! If they pop up again, I don't expect that part to change, boo hoo.

VL, it took me a while to process the pictures... then I saw the extremely cute pendant.

Cookie, I know the pics are a little disarming at first. But that is how I got to see the whole package unfold too. I had no idea that it would be such a wonderfully thought out and whimsical presentation. I had hoped to convey in the picture series something of the joy I experienced opening up the package. IT is more than just a pendant, it comes as a little container of conceptual mirth. I would say it made my day, but it really made my week.

Chrono, while the box looks like a pint of ice cream (1/2 pint really) it is different. paper based board, strong, with a little heft. The printed covers are a nice paper with a nice feel, not like a pint of ben and jerrys. The image on the inside of the lid is actually a sticker, of which there are two, that come with for one to put on whatever, skateboard, notebook, bus shelter, bike rack, lamp post...the usual places. The four section insert tray has little twill tape tabs for lifting it out to get to the bottom single compartment. It reminds me a little of the travel jewelry boxes that were discussed here last week. It certainly is durable enough to use that way and hold up for ten years. Actually, not that I am looking closely I see there is no crack and peel line on the back of the stickers. The paper base is heavy and the front surface is shiny, which is what led me to think they are stickers. Now I think they are note cards. Michael drew a little pencil sketch hello to me on the back of one.

Now I am watching frequently for the loose stones. The Prehnite cab is reserved for me.

Wow that pendant is so cool, I ordered a Tiki ring so I can't wait to get it.
