RB diameter - thoughts?

So I keep looking at different charts of what the weight vs diameter should be and I'm beginning to think that the stone I purchased measures under what it should. Here are the specs - any feedback is greatly appreciated.

2.22 RB J VS2
8.32*8.30*5.17

GIA XXX
HCA - under 2 with everything excellent except spread which is Very good
Overall Grade - 1A
Table 57%
Depth - 62.2%
crown - 35 angle
pavillion - 40.8 angle
girdle - slightly thick, faceted

attached is the GIA Certificate and the IS.




BTW, I paid $14.7K for the stone - what are your overall thoughts on the price?

Thank you!!!! I have the stone ONLY because I found pricescope and all of you wonderful experts you guys talked me off the ledge (was considering buying an uncertified stone. if it wasn't for this forum i would have an expensive piece of glass.

I've shown the stone to 2 different jewelers, but haven't gone through the formal appraisal. How do I go about finding a credible jeweler - what do I look for? I'm in the DC/Baltimore area - any suggestions? Thanks

Isn't this diamond from James Allen? They are located in Frederick, MD.

I wanted to get an independent appraisal - the stone is from JA, I just wanted an official 2nd look by a jeweler. Thank you
