It actually looks like a typical blue spinel, very grey with a hint of blue, but that''s one "blue spinel" I wouldn''t mind having!!

It does look a little drab though. For that kind of money I''d rather have Chrono''s new spinel and a ranch in Big Sur!

Spinels with a high crown can be very dispersive like a diamond. They can be like a "poor man's blue diamond"

Blue diamonds and aquamarines are the few gems where grey does not decrease the price. I rather have the blue diamond though!!

I am not sure that I even love blue diamonds but that is very pretty. I think for 5 million dollars I would rather have a really big white diamond and a really big house to keep it in!

Well....it''s rare.

Other than that, the stone doesn''t wow me - and I''m a die-hard lover of all things blue. Like others have said, it looks like a blue spinel or a not very nice blue topaz.
