Yes, please let us know if all is well. We are thinking about you and Gary.

All is good
Thank you everybody
I was so tired last night and this morning
Turns out his younger brother is really sick with a heart condition . He does live in the Stix. It might feel like the Stix here but we have a good hospital with most of the mod cons
It took ages for my taxi to arrive and he kept ringing where was i?

Gary has been up on a walker with the physio. He is allowed to use the real toilet with assistance. The young lady pysico was so pleased with him
They are having trouble getting the dressing changed. It is stuck.they have been soaking it all day. They have a different kind of sponge bandarge to put back on
He has one of those sucken pump things on the wound although that is off while they get the dressing off
They have given him more painkillers while they do that
He is like 98 % corherent
When I went down stairs to the loo he said take you phone
I said no I ok ill be right back
When I was downstairs there was a bloody fire drill
But it only involved the ground floor. Outpatients. The church and the kitchen
I got back up here and they were all normal the whole time
I will show you a few of our beautiful Mt Rhuapahu out the window
Oh he's half asleep but it's hurting
This building - not the one out the windowv. Was built in 1959 samevyear as our house and it has retro fitted alluminium opening windows which are lovely
last night was so cold outside but the sun is so warm today
There is a garden down below us which backs onto the church I visited multiple times a day last week. It was cool and quiet in there and also had a couple of windows they left cracked opened all night

Phew no need for surgery
But the surgeon who put the bandage on came up to take it off . She was very young but the nurse said very nice.
She apologized for the bandage getting stuck
She also went to med school down home
It's the sponge they stick the tube onto that pumps out the weeping yuck
Gary is now 98% normal in himself in his head thank goodness

I want to go to the supermarket before I get a taxi home
I want brocolii so bad

So relieved to hear from you @Daisys and Diamonds! I'm so happy that Gary is slowly on the mend - I have been thinking about you guys daily and wishing for good news. I'm sure that Gary is now worried about his younger brother's heart condition. We really do take for granted that we have good medical care until the time of need. Take care and continued good thoughts being sent to you both! (((hugs)))

@Daisys and Diamonds
Nicky, ((((HUGS)))) to you and Gary
Continued healing wishes going Gary's way
And please take care of yourself too
Wish we lived closer

i got brocolii, and then as i walked up the path in the dark the bottom fell out of the bag ....
angry sigh

they had a lot of trouble doing the dressig change, the sponge that the pump thig goes into was stuck was in the wound
the nurse couldnt do it without causing more pain and he had had all the seditation she was allowed to give him so they got the registra who had dressed the wound in surgery to come down, she got it off, the wound looked awful but it also looked good if that made sence, she did apoligise prufusly and they are using a different brand/type of sponge
the wound nurse will dress it today and put the pump thing back in,
things must be on the improve because ive been checking out royal Ascot this morning
i have talked to Gary already and he sounds himself but is a bit cofussed over last night,
when i got there yesterday a health care something or other (nurse aid ) had trimmed up his bead and given him a hair cut so he was very happy

i have been studying the jewellery the medical team wear ........ok since we first arrived :lol-2:

A historic night for Israeli basketball: for the first time ever, two Israelis were selected in the first round of the same NBA Draft. Ben Saraf and Danny Wolf were picked back-to-back at 26th and 27th by the Brooklyn Nets and are expected to join fellow Israeli Deni Avdija in the world’s top basketball league. Both secured guaranteed two-year NBA contracts, with team options for a third and fourth year.

They’ll become the fifth and sixth Israelis to play in the NBA, following Omri Casspi, Gal Mekel, T.J. Leaf, and Avdija. Other Israelis drafted in the past—like Doron Sheffer, Lior Eliyahu, Yotam Halperin, and Yam Madar—were second-round picks and never made it to the league.
