Radiation is Over!!!

For those of you following my mom''s breast cancer story I am happy to report that yesterday was her last dose of radiation!!!!!! She is done with treatment now, with the exception of taking aromatase inhibitor pills for the next five years. She will also be getting checkups every few months. For now though, we are ecstatic that the intensive treatments are over! She has gotten quite a burn from the radiation and is looking forward to that going away.

We know that there could be a recurrence in the future because of the lymph node involvement, but we are going to do our best to live our lives instead of worry them away! (Definitely harder than it sounds, but life is too short and it''s worth trying!
