Quick decision on DK band width please!

Hi!

DK is making me a marquise diamond eternity band - see pictures of one he just made, will be similar but with more rounded prongs. He can make it in a 2mm width x 4mm diamond length (shown in pics) or 2.25mm width x 4.25 mm diamond length. My plan is to wear it as a band with my ering...just this band with it, probably no others since I have shorter fingers. Pictured below is my ering which is about 2mm and an engraved band which is a tad over 2mm. I am a size 5.5.

Question is whether to get the marquise eternity in a 2mm or 2.25mm width? What do you think??

1. it will be a chainsaw on your Ering.
2. you will break 2 to 6 diamonds a year if it goes all the way around.
3. make sure you have work done once a year to stop the head and diamond dropping off your Ering

Thanks for the feedback! Should be enough clearance under my diamond not to rub, but I can certainly wear a spacer like I usually do (just didn’t in this pic).

good - that will work. The ring as shown is fairly high (which is good for strenght).
But the marquise are secured ar two vunerable tips.
You will accuse the jeweller of not setting them securely. The fact is the diamonds will break and fall out as two bits.

I personally like bands of same width. I do think you should discuss @Garry H (Cut Nut) input about this type of band with your jeweler.
