questions for Asscher owners

have you considered a halo setting? it is definately a different look, but if you love the look of an asscher but want more sparkle, it would certainly achieve both goals. from a distance you might loose the subtleness of the asscher cut, but up close i think the contrast between the elegance of the step cut and the fire of the smaller rbs would be beautiful

Yes, I am considering it; I like the "softer" looking halos. For more sparkle and because my stone may not be larger than 1.25 and I want to stack my rings, I am considering a halo for a longer length.

I''m also strongly considering even going with some other squarish cut (for size and sparkle) though undecided if it would be a Flanders, Jubilee, Cushion Brilliant or whatever. And then the setting will either be LM, Ritani or maybe even EDR as I''ve been seeing some fantastic work here by Mark T. My FF and I had discussed this option and then getting an Asscher pendant.
 
cushions are one of my favorite cuts to set in a halo - absolutely gorgeous! I hope you can narrow it down!
