Questions about setting OEC diamonds

I just ordered a vintage band with 5 OEC diamonds in it from Etsy. I'm thinking of resetting them into a white gold wedding band, but my jeweler said I would have to use prongs, because the crown angles vary too much. Is this correct? My new engagement ring is going to be bezel set, so I'm not positive how prongs would look next to it. I would have preferred shared prong, bead, or bezel for a band, but she says that would be difficult. Is it possible that the diamonds will be closely matched enough to use other settings, or is it just a hazard of OEC's that they need certain settings? I'm uploading a picture of the band I ordered, and the CAD of my engagement ring.

You are going to have a gap wearing a band with that ring because of the way it is designed. Have they made it yet? Whoever makes the band will need to have the e-ring in hand to work out the height of the bezel band.

But yes, you can have a bezel set band. The bezels separate the stones enough that the crown heights don't have to be an exact match. I cannot see a prong set band looking right with your engagement ring at all. David Klass and Caysie van Bebber made them often. You may have to search for pics a bit, but they both can do it.
