If I were to purchase a classic 6 prong setting from Tiffany with the smallest diamond that they sell would I be able to remove the small diamond and have my 2.16 carat set in it? I know that that sounds silly but I cannot seem to find a tiffany replica that really is the same as Tiffany.

In short, no. Sorry.

They could probably replace the head so the diamond would fit in...though that might alter the ring....not sure.

You could replace the center head for a larger diamond. However, the width of the shank for a small diamond might be less than the width used for a 2 carat one. I am not certain and it would be important to check first. When replacing the head, you would not want the jewelry to remove the Tiffany trademark stamp inside the shank. The jeweler and polisher would have to be careful about that.
It isn''t a nice thing to do, but it is frequently done with second hand pieces.

your better off just buying from tiffany''s. you need about the same size stone to fit into the same head...i wouldn''t mess with it, personally. I agree, no replica out there is exact, but quest has made a nice repro too.

The fact is, you''d still have a replica head, so you may as well just pay for a replica as opposed to a Tiffany ring with a small diamond. Have you looked at Excel, Quest, and WhiteFlash?
