question for u-prong owners

i have a u-prong eternity band, which i started wearing in october 2010. i absolutely love the way it looks, especially because i wear it alone, and love seeing the diamond profiles. however, in the past 6 months, i've had to have the jeweler tighten the settings 2x. i know u-prongs are super delicate, but this seems abnormal. have any other u-prong owners experienced similar issues with their settings?

I have heard that this is not uncommon with u-prong settings, especially if you wear it on a daily basis. I LOVE the u-prong look, but went with a shared prong setting for this reason. I'm pretty tough on my rings and was afraid that I'd have issues with losing stones if I wasn't careful enough.

I've had mine since August 2010, no problems. I've gone to my jeweler to have stones checked and clean 2x since, all good so far. I wear it everyday, although I take it off every night.

thank you both so much for your reponses. i think mine is going back to the original jeweler to check it out. i love the setting and don't want to change it, but i would die if i lost a stone. so i'll have to see if there's another way to fix it.
