Hi FireGoddress,

Do you have your specs for your diamond? Eg. Flurescence, L w ratio, colour, clarity, table, depth, symmetry, girdle thickness etc...
I love your diamond and would really love to see these.

Bumping for FG.

Hi Kris, thanks for the question. Thanks for the bump Chrono - I would have missed this!

What I know offhand (the papers are in a lockbox somewhere):
weight: 1.5 ct
color: D
clarity: VS2
girdle thickness: thin to slightly thick
l to w ratio: 1.5
symm: vg or excellent, can't remember.
depth: in the high 60s (it is definitely a little deep)
fluor: none

I forget what the table is, and I don't even know if there were crown or pavillion angles listed - I bought the stone pre-PS and it was picked by 'sight.'

Shooting for numbers is definitely good but for fancies ya gotta see 'em too.

hi firegoddess, thanks for the reply. Yeah i def know what you mean, you really have to see the diamond.
Regarding your ring design, do you know the specs of that?

-like band thckness (mm)
-how many diamonds on band and on halo?
-what the specs of the little diamonds were eg, clarity and colour?
-what carat each little diamond was each and in total?
-white gold or platinum?
-what type of setting diamonds were in etc... eg claw or pave?

sorrry for all the questions, im just trying to do as much research as possible so I can design my ring right

Firegoddess: Do you remember the measurements of your diamond? Did you ever in an old thread put the full specs up, it would be less hassle for you if I look it up?

The band thickness is approx 1.8 to 2 mm (the shared prong half is slightly thinner).
The ring is platinum. It is half eternity, not full eternity.
The diamonds in the shank were set shared prong, the ones in the halo, I don''t know, just set into the metal.
The small diamonds are 2 pointers (though I''ve always wondered if they were really 1 pointers), F/G color and SI1 clarity.

I don''t remember the stone measurements - I don''t think I''ve posted them here because the report was always tucked away somewhere safe.

I have to warn you about having a ring so thin though...while it is beautiful and looks EXACTLY how I wanted it to, it is not practical for everyday wear. Even though I have been *very* careful with it, don''t wear it all the time, etc...over the course of the last 1.5 to 2 years the shank has slowly bent into an elliptical shape instead of round. Like a sideways "0" instead of an "o". I also dropped the ring last month and one of the melee popped out. Are these things fixable? Sure. But do I want the hassle? That I''m not so sure about. I haven''t done anything yet one way or the other (get the shank fixed and stone put back in, or reshank the ring) because I am really torn - I really like the thin band but I''m not so crazy about my (in)ability to protect it.

Sorry for the threadjack, but FireGoddess I have to tell you I love your ring!

The other day I was out shopping and this lady had the most amazing pear and I thought of you! I was in love! If I ever can get another diamond it will be a pear (I can wish, right), yummo!

Thanks Skippy!

I have to say I unabashedly start conversations with anyone wearing a pear. I think that they are rare enough a choice that people who wear them feel some sort of kindredness in taste.

thanks for all that firegoddess
also thankyou for the info on the thin band. I will take all the advice I can get!
