Do you have a half eternity, 3/4, or full eternity/shared prong ring? Which do you prefer and why? Thanks!

Please post a pic of yours too if you''d like.

Sorry for posting on SMTR, but Rocky Talky doesn''t get as much traffic!

Full eternity! I love not having to worry about the ring spinning. I have 2 full eternity bands - one is my wedding band and one is a RHR sapphire eternity band. I just love the look of a full eternity more than 1/2 or 3/4. And I''ve never found them to be uncomfortable or too fragile. I''ll post pics of mine... first, my wedding band from Whiteflash (the "uternity").

Sorry for the huge photo - I''ll post a pic of the sapphire band later!

I have a full eternity for the band on my e-ring and I LOVE it! Love that I don''t have to worry about it turning and love the look. I think it is very timeless and classic and it was something I always wanted to have so when we were setting shopping I knew that is what I wanted. I will hopefully be getting two matching eternity bands as my wedding bands next year when we marry.
I''ll post a pic for you tonight I''m at work right now...
Also, mine is not uncomfortable at all and I have never damaged it and I wear my ring to work etc...
I also get a lot of compliments when people see that it is an eternity setting they think it is neat.

Dito the ladies above - i have a full eternity too. I really like the look, and I talk with my hands A LOT, so i like that you can see it from all angles. In fact, when i was looking, I was definitely between a half eternity with larger diamonds and a full eternity with smaller diamonds - i''ve never really regretted the choice - i love the look.

Mine looks a lot like Katie''s above - it''s a Uprong, which is really low profile and very comfy. I never take it off.

I''m sorry gals but can you tell us what carat weight these bands are.. and your finger size?

Are you ever afraid of the stones coming loose? Has anyone ever had this problem? I''m nervous about exactly that.. and then a chain reaction...
Hi SDL! My band above has 10 pointers - so around 2.2 carats total for me. My ring size is a 7, but my ring is a 7.5 b/c it can''t be sized.

Katie''s band above is a WF band and if i remember correctly, her stones are exactly the same size as mine (10 pointers); however, hers looks bigger than mine for sure - she has lovely little size 5 or so fingers.

I am never worried about the stones....ever. I don''t know why, i''m just not. I''ve had it for about 10 months now, and haven''t had a problem. I do have my jeweler check the prongs now and again - it''s a local jeweler. I do baby it a little bit. ie. I don''t wear it when i am working at night in a restaurant carrying heavy plates because they said it would bend the overall shape of the ring and then i might start losing stones. Other than that job, though, i wear it ALL the time.

I figure that''s what insurance is for, and since it''s my only ring, i just want to wear it all the time!

Full eternity. My w-band is almost an eternity, but it has a teensy sizing gap in it, and it seems to always manage to spin to the front. I wish it didn't have the gap. I have customers at work ask to see my rings closer quite often, and I've had a few of them actually grab my wedding band, while I'm wearing it, and spin the gap to the back of my finger again

. I guess it bugs other people too! I think a 3/4 eternity would be even more annoying. I think unless the ring is actually REALLY tight, it's gonna spin.

Mine's a lot smaller than the ones posted here. It's about 2mm wide, alternating square and marquis shapes, millgrained, with a round brilliant bead set inside the shape. I think Beverly K makes a similar one? I probably have a pic posted *somewhere* in this forum, but it's not saved on this computer.

Here are my two bands - the asscher band is a channel-set half eternity, and the rb band is a shared prong full eternity. I love the look of the full eternity so much more than the half eternity, because the half eternity always spins and then you don''t see the diamonds. You don''t have to deal with the spinning issue with a full eternity, but I did lose a diamond out of it after less than three months of everyday wear.

Oh, i hate this vesper! I hope you haven''t had any problems since - did you send it back to Whiteflash?

I have a nine stone channel set (half eternity for me), a 3/4 eternity bezel, and a full eternity barset/single prong modify. While I love the look of the full eternity, I lost a stone after having it for about six weeks and I was constantly checking for lost stones. I loved the 3/4 eternity bezel (the spinning was very minimal and even if it slightly shifts over the bar was still on the side/bottom so all the diamonds still face up) only I wished my stone was a bit larger so I sold it. I still have the nine stone channel set (this was my first ring that I was married with -will always have it) but I hate that it spins and not round - it was resized about three times too many by my prior jeweler. There are pros and cons to each one.

If I were to do it again, this is what I would have done in hindsight:

Shared Prong - Half eternity
Full bezel or Channel - Full Eternity

She''s correct - my WF band is 10 pointers, size 5, 20 stones for a total of 2 carats. I don''t know exactly what size the sapphires are - I think they''re around 3 points each for a total carat weight of just under 1 carat.

I hate to say "I''ve never lost a stone" for fear that as soon as I say it, it''ll happen... but so far, so good! I really don''t worry about my rings. I am careful not to bang them on things and I don''t wear them to bed at night or to shower or to the gym or to do yardwork or things like that. Most days when I get home from work, I take off all my jewelry but some days, I wear them until bedtime. I didn''t want rings I had to baby and feel constantly worried about.

I just saw this, the band on my e-ring which is eternity is about 2.5mm I believe and there is .90ctw in the band so I guess they must be .03? each not entirely sure I will check my information from WF.
I never worry about a stone falling out and I have never had that problem yet got the ring in 2007 wear it all the time. I really adore it!
Hope that helps anyone on the fence
