Question about Whiteflash rings and Stuller

I just purchased an engagement ring from Whiteflash last week. The ring is gorgeous and their customer service was extremely helpful. I have one small concern though that I have already emailed them about. I figured I'd come on here to ask if anyone else has run into something similar... I purchased their Classic 6 Prong setting in platinum. When the ring arrived I thought it strange that the Whiteflash hallmark was not stamped inside the setting. The only words inside the ring were "Plat" and directly to the left of that was a fancy looking letter "S" that appeared very similar to the Stuller logo.

My question is whether any of you have seen something similar on your Whiteflash ring. To me the setting looks identical to the one pictured on their website, however I would feel a bit deceived if a higher end jeweler like Whiteflash was using Stuller settings without saying so.

I appreciate any help.

I have that same setting as well. I just received my ring last week. I'll have to check my ring. I had my ring set in another platinum setting that was more expensive from Whiteflash but opted for the classic 6 prong and had it reset. (I like the classic 6 prong much better.) I thought the classic 6 prong was one of Whiteflash's own. Interesting question.

Brian Gavin, for one, is another, higher end diamond vendor well regarded here on PS who sells Stuller mountings without expressly identifying them as such in the listing description. Stuller ring mountings are typically a very good value: reasonably priced, reliably manufactured & not flimsy, and can usually be quickly delivered, in the size needed, to a jeweler (so far as I know, all their ring mountings are still made here in the US, altho' they've moved some production overseas).

So I'm really hoping that the little S logo stamped on the inside of the shank does not diminish your pleasure in a ring you've described as gorgeous -- and that you soon post pics on the Show Me The Bling! board :))

Very true. I walked downstairs with Brian to the Stuller shop in his building to pick out my martini settings and oversized backs for my studs. If a setting is not custom designed and fabricated or hand forged there is a good chance it's Stuller.

Thank you both for reassuring me. I'm glad to learn that this is common practice and that the quality of Stuller's settings is good. Don't mind the missing Whiteflash symbol, just wanted to make sure I actually got everything I paid for.
