I'm looking into having a 2ctw set of studs placed into a different setting with this type of backing. My question is, does the backing slide past the notch and stay in place(closer to the ear) or must it stay in one of the 2 notches? My problem is that my earlobes are very thin and I usually have to push the backs in very tight. Also, about how wide in diameter are the pousette backs? Thanks in advance!

They stay where you put them on the post. I found them difficult to get on and off and at first my ears were red and uncomfortable for a few weeks because they are about three times thicker than normal posts. I eventually had my earrings reset with normal backs because they were so annoying. Backs were maybe 6 or 7mm? Hope this helps.

I would get the regular friction backs. I feel like the La Pousette backs have had quite a few complaints and in my opinion, screwbacks are terribly uncomfortable and they are hassle to put on and off.
