So I think I have found the diamond I am going to purchase. I got it reviewed by James Allen and they have described it as "...a beautiful white F with a wonderful, even light performance and great brilliance and sparkle." Below is an image of the diamond and idealscope. Can someone explain to me what the dark area is between the 1 and 2 o clock arrows? How will it affect the diamonds visual performance? Lastly this diamond is priced $12.1k. Is that a fair price for this diamond or can I do better?

Thanks for all your help.

the dark triangles have to do with optical symmetry and how the internal reflections of facets take place. If you were to view the diamond head on exactly at 90 degrees perpendicular to the table face, you will expect to see a slight dark spot there.

However, in real life, this might not happen. Most people would view the diamonds at some angles and at some other angles, the black triangles that you see might transcends into a bright reflecting facet.

It looks great!! I love the numbers! And the IS is beautiful. The dark areas are just reflections. The diamonds aren't video taped under a spot light to show flashes of color. I think you found a gorgeous stone!

Thats great to hear. Originally I was dissapointed because of the dark areas between the arrows, but it sounds like it's something I shouldn't worry about. I have been stressing over this diamond finding process for about 2 months now and to finally find one is a relief. Lol.

Purchased pending wire transfer!!!!

Hope you love it. The IS looks great.
