Can someone tell me how this works?
I saw a mounting that I liked, but it was yellow gold. The jeweler told me that he could "make it white" which I didn't understand. So I watched him. I don't remember what he did (chemicals + fire I think), but the band is now white. (The bars that seperate the side stones are a light yellow still, but I like the 2 tone look).
Do you think this was yellow plated that he removed? Can you actually turn yellow gold into white? Any chance it's not gold? "Diamonds'" question about her rings prompted me to ask, especially since I no nothing about rhodium.
