So, one thing my husband and I are looking into is having Tiffany put traps on the side of my EC instead of the trilliants (total cost estimate is $5,200 from Tiffanys). I saw this style ring in my Tiffany Diamonds book and it looks GREAT!!! I LOVE the classic look of putting step-cuts together.
However, it lead me to discover that this ring that they used to sell, was a cut-cornered emerald cut versus the traditional emerald cut with traps-----will this change the look of the ring if I use my traditional emerald cut?
And what are the differences? Just the cut-corners are larger?
Diamondfan- is yours a cut-cornered emerald cut?!
