When you see dimensions on a report, for example, "6.85-6.78-4.21." I believe the first two numbers mean maximum width and minimum width. Is that correct?

If that is correct, why is there a MAXIMUM and a MINIMUM width? Shouldn''t there be ONE width?

So confused...

That is 1% out of round which is very good.
Diamonds do not like being ground round - they are squarish crystals, and it is all but impossible to make them perfectly round - unless they are burned round with a laser.

Even then..., you need to facet the girdle (to get rid of the laser marks) and again chances are the roundness will have a range...

Unless you leave the girdle blocked..., is that how you say it?
