Question about diamond stud weight

I don't know much about diamonds period. Although I've learned a lot being here on pricescope. My question is when they say a pair of round studs is 6.5mm/1.00 ctw does that means that each stud is 0.5ct which add up to the total carat weight of 1.00? I just bought a set of cz round studs because I wanted to play around with what look good in my ears. The 4mm cz were nice but a little small. The 6.5mm cz were a little too big for me. While the 5mm were just right. I looked up a mm to carat chart and it said 4mm were .23ct, 5mm= .47ct and 6.5mm= 1.00 ct. Do the round cz equal to the same size round diamonds would be? Would that mean to equal 4mm weight I would have to buy two .25 ct diamonds? I'm posting the 5mm in my ears for reference and opinions. Thank you all in advance for the help.

Yes, they roughly equate. A well-cut 1ct RB faces up around 6.5mm (although depends on the stone of course). I recently bought my MIL a pair of 0.44ct stones which faced up around 4.9mm each.
