Question about color and setting...

How would a 1ct I-color ACA stone look in this setting? Since the stone will face up white because of it being well cut, I''m concerned about the side angle, where color presents itself the most. So I think there are two possibilities, either the stones between the prongs will prevent the color from the main stone to be seen from a side angle or there will be a noticable contrast between the F-G color small stones and the I-color main stone that it will look awkward.

I think that is a lovely choice of setting. As you said, an ACA I will face up white , and to be honest I don''t think you will have much issue with colour from the sides either.
It looks like the small diamonds between the prongs pretty much fill all gaps anyway, so I wouldn''t be concerned

Of course, always best to ask your vendor. Will you be buying the setting from Pearlmans? You could always ask for G/H accent stones instead to be safe, the whole thing will still look white imo.

I really love the setting, the only difference i think is that the sidestones on the PS thread one are pave set rather than channel set like on the pearlman''s pic.
I really hope I-color is ok...I really want to fill it with a 1ct stone and that''s the only way I can get a great cut in there.

Lust to concur with the others - face-up and from the side all she will see is a lot of sparkle.

Re. whether to use F/G or G/H for the small diamonds - its best to ask the vendor as they can best judge by looking at your diamond in particular!

I think it ill look perfect! My I doesn''t show any color from the sides, and you''d have to look prety hard into that setting to see it even if it was there. All you will see is sparkles IMO!!

I think it will look fabulous!!! You can mostly see color through the sides (I doesn''t show much anyways) and you can''t even see the side of the stone in this setting.
