I hope im posting this in the right place :)

I am going to look at the ring guard for my e-ring on FRIDAY! And i''m pretty sure its what I''ve been looking for. However my husband is 1.deployed and 2.doesn''t want to get a credit card for the store where the ring is at. With him being deployed we could pay the whole thing off this summer. He told me if I liked it to just go ahead and get it and just make payments monthly with the debt card till the end of the summer. Will a store let me do this?

I live in NC and am going to visit OH. The next time we''ll be up there is questionable since we are moving right when my husband gets back, and its not to ohio lol. Its to missouri.

Thanks

depends on the store in question.

Ditto Stone, you would need to ask the store in question but they might have a layaway plan or something similar you could use.

Helzberg is the store. But see Im not going back to ohio till like February

And by August I could pay it off

There are numerous Helzberg in Raleigh region...

Frankly, I don’t see much benefit to the layaway type of deal, or store credit either for that matter. Far too often it's used as a distraction from the details of what's really being offered because it's easy. Credit cards are a highly competitive business and if you want to borrow money to buy jewelry, something I don’t recommend by the way, you’ll get a better deal by shopping the banks directly against one another and then just using a card to make your purchase. Rarely do you gain anything by having the store involved in the credit part of the deal. A good place to start shopping credit terms is www.bankrate.com

One of the benefits of shopping at a big chain like that is that they probably have a store in your neighborhood. If they've got it in Ohio, I'll bet they can get it in North Carolina too.

First off, thank you for the service you and your husband are providing this country! Military wives rarely get the credit they deserve for keeping things moving along smoothly on the home front while their husbands are deployed.

It is doubtful that a store will let you take the ring and make monthly payments by debit card since they have no secured interest in the item once it leaves their store... But my son is USMC and tells me that the bank options available to military personnel are pretty good - so maybe your husband can set up a loan option with one of the military service banks?

Can you give us a link to the ring (just so we can see it)?

very pretty - but what did you decide to do?

Here''s a list of NC stores: Link
