Ok I do realise this is probably a really silly question :shifty: but are they ALL real, natural pearls as in NOT cultivated in any way? I was looking at some of her multiple strands and they all look slightly different shades & shapes - not so uniformly round as cultivated ones so I'm assuming they aren't correct? Obviously some of her older strands handed down would date prior to pearl farming too....

I can't recall where I read from but the common belief is that they are naturals. Given that no one expects the Queen to give a detailed description of her collection, its mostly guesses from the various blog and news writers that I've read. Not sure if there is a book on the royal collection? If so, then it may contain more definitive information re: her pearls.
