I'm new here, so I apologize if I should just post this as a comment under my original post, "1930s ring?" I found this ring at a local (reputable) pawn shop. It was advertised as antique, from the 1930s-40s, platinum, 1/2 carat center, over 1 CTW.

I posted some blurry pictures yesterday (https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/1930s-ring.214935/) but took some better close-up photos this afternoon.

Here are my questions:
1. Any idea of the approximate age of the ring? (appears to be a 1920s/30s Art Deco design)
2. Does the "5% Irid Plat" stamp look legitimate? (seems very prominent for such an old ring)
3. Would this ring be sizable from a 7-3/4 to a 6?

Thanks for any and all comments/insights!

It definitely appears to be an Art Deco era (20s or 30s) ring. The stamp looks fine to me, and it adds legitimacy to the ring because that's the metal that was used most often around that time. You would want to ask a jeweler about whether or not it could be sized, but I don't see why not. You could add sizing balls if the shank can't be made smaller. Beautiful ring!
