Q: If you have/had a platinum halo from CvB, LM, SK, etc.

Already dreaming of how I plan to set my 3 carat old mine. For those of you who wear or have worn platinum halos from any of the hand-forged designers, did you find the halo to be heavy on your finger? Did it twist around on your finger when sized properly?

I wear a platinum pave solitaire setting (plus the wedding band before I lost it) and I've always found it to be weighty on my fingers. Not too weighty, but I wonder if the halo adds enough weight that I would find it heavy to wear.

Further, if you *had* one of these $$$$ halos and reset your stone, was it because your style preferences changed, or a comfort/practicality issue?

TIA for any insight.

All of my platinum halos from CVB are not heavy at all! My old rings made by my old jeweler weighed a ton and were top heavy. I had a VC emilya halo as well, and it was very light and wearable.

I have a halo from SK, it's not heavy at all and it doesn't spin. It's very comfortable, have been wearing it nearly every day for the past 4+ years.

I have a victor camera halo - not heavy and would only spin if my fingers were freezing! It doesn't catch on anything, it doesn't scratch my kids etc - it's smooth and fluid and I love it

I've got a couple of VC halo rings they are both sturdy and delicate at the same time, a big Singelstone halo that is a bit heavier than the VC settings, none of them spin, if they are sized correctly they shouldn't do that.

I have two halo rings by victor canera, made in platinum. They are well sized and do not spin at all.

I have one platinum halo ring thus far from Caysie (CVB). Her rings are delicate and finely made. I do have some heavier Beaudry settings, but they are not daily wear rings.

I had a CvB Casablanca halo with a 2.5ct OEC. Compared to the previous solitaire it was in (also made with plat), it was definitely a little heftier, but in a good way. Cassie's work is STUNNING, and I'm dying to get some of her bands one day. I felt the setting was oh so elegant but sturdy at the same time. I never felt like my hand was "weighed down" by any means.

I am switching back to a solitaire for style reasons. I keep wanting to love halos, but in the end am a solitaire gal.
