so, the days are dwindling down before i have to make my final setting choice and--PANIC
--i need to figure out for sure what i want, pronto!
as i've noted in other posts, i LOVE the attached settings. i think what i like best about them is the one aspect they all have in common: the "bubblework" (as val coined it a few days ago) on the undercarraige of the setting. (please refer to the handy-dandy arrows below.) before i go into my setting appointment and ask for an exact replica of one of these settings (if i do, it will be of the bottom one!
), i was hoping to do some last-minute browsing through some settings of a similar style to make SURE that this is the one.
the problem: i've been through just about every antique jewelry link known to man and i can't seem to find similar settings ANYwhere. (the setting in the upper left is from estatediamondjewelry.com, and, according to the people there, is a replica of ashley judd's engagement ring; the other two rings are by leon mege, who, according to leon mege, designed AJ's ring (for martin katz).) if it's the case that there's nothing similar out there, i'm OK with that--makes my decision a lot easier! but i wanted to be sure, so thought i would check in with you wise pricescopers to see if anyone has seen anything similar, anywhere.
help me if you can! REENA
