I want to play! Not engaged yet, but BF and I have talked about what we'd want at our wedding - we both want an outdoor garden wedding, and I love the thought of blue/white or blue/ivory, or alternatively deep rose/champagne for the colors. i got bored and made this collage for the blue/white theme!

Musey...I know your mom made the centerpieces, however, do you have any idea where I can find some lanterns like that?? I''m incoporating some orange into our coctail hour since it is going to be 2 hours! So, I''d like to put something like the lanterns on the coctail tables. Any ideas??
 
EmeraldLover, my mom didn''t make the lanterns, just everything but. They''re all over eBay, in all different colors and sizes. That''s where I got mine. Hope that helps!

omg I love those black leather looking slippers. Are you planning on having the groom wear those? Such a neat idea where are those slippers from?

Those are Ralph Lauren and I found them on endless.com. FF detests shoes, so I figured I''d get him some fancy flip flops. When I told him about it, he got kind of indignant, and told me he was fine wearing shoes. But he hates them, they make his feet hurt and his thing is flip flops. He literally wears flip flops every single day of the year unless it''s below 32* F or he has to dress up for work.

I really hope he''ll wear them.
 
I think it''s a great idea! My bf wears slipper every day as well. I RARELY see him in shoes. Heck why be someone you''re not. I''m going to pitch the idea to him. Thanks


This questions is to Princess: Who makes that dress in your first board (the board with the plumerias)? I love it!

I worked on this for about a half hour tonight, and I am definitly open to suggestions... any advice would be so appreciated!
My wedding will be May 23, 2009 and The only thing set in stone so far are the ceremony and reception locations (pictured) and my dress. I love pink and I think the bright fushia with pale pink peonies would be very lovely, with a few touches of silver as well. What do you think?

anniee19, your color scheme is pretty much exactly what my best friend is doing, except she''s going kind of old hollywood glam with her theme and incorporating a lot of feathers! here''s a snippet of her wedding stuff (i''ve been playing wedding planner for several friends, so all their wedding stuff is also on my mac!).

It''s St. Patrick by Pronovias. If you like it, check out La Sposa and Manuel Mota too. Anything they make is good. Ahhh...

dragonfly, do what you like! we got married in october, and our colors were purple, blue, aqua, and light green! or you can play with shades of a color to evoke various seasons, like a medium to darker blue paired with a more traditional fall color, like brown, orange, yellow, eggplant, etc. can also work. the important thing is that you love it!

I''m having an October wedding, and our colors are a spectrum of blues (light, medium, and midnight), white, and orangey-yellow. My board is still a mess, so it''s not getting posted yet, but I''m not a bit worried about matching colors to the season -- we''re just using the colors we want!
 
Okay, I finally did one. It still needs refining, but here it is. I'm getting married on the last day of summer in Yosemite Valley, with a daytime, outdoor reception.
