Purchase made! Excited to get it!

So after a fairly long search I have finally made a purchase. I definately owe a lot to PS. It taugh me a lot and I think I got a great stone at a great price.

I made my purchase from Whiteflash. The stone was from a "virtual inventory", so I wanted to find a dealer that would give it a proper look and provide pics for me before making a purchase.

The whole time I thought I would end up with an SI1 stone, but in the end I found an SI2 that fit the bill. The vendor said it was eye-clean, and WF confirmed it was unless you knew exactly where to look and had great eyes. Apparently the stone performs great which helps to cover anything up (all the inclusions are white and fairly scattered).

The setting is fairly straightforward (as per her request). It is a white gold half round comfort fit band (no tapering, knive edge etc) and the prongs site on top of the band.

From what you see in the magnified image, any concern that the inclusions will be visible to the eye? I have seen a lot worse from browsing......I see a lot of pinpoints but nothing that stands right out.

Any comments?

Well I got it!

I went and picked it up from the Fedex station today and I have to be honest - I wore it on the way home! LOL I wasn''t a very good driver as I was focusing on the ring and the sparkles it was giving off. I''m sure many drivers were wondering why this guy was wearing a diamond ring that didn''t even fit on his pinky fingerIt really is a great ring.

I am very pleased with the cut and color of the stone and the setting is great - exactly what she wanted. I inspected the diamond thourghly (of course!) and altrhough it took a while I can spot an inclusion on the table when it is very closeup. At first it bothered me but as odd as it sounds it isn''t a bad looking inclusion. It is subtle and white so I am not too concerned. Plus I can''t see it whatsoever unless I am looking at it from a distance much closer than normal. From a normal distance it just looks fantastic.

Overall I am happy with the purchase and the staff at WF were great. They called and emailed a few times today just to make sure I knew the package was ready for me and to see what I thought. It was a great buying experience.

I will definately post some handshots.....I promised myself I wouldn''t take any live shots until she has it though. Just two days away!

I also noticed that I can''t see the inclusion whatsoever when I am indoors. It is only in sunlight that I can see it when I hold it up very close. Not sure why that is, but I am very happy to have found such a clean and beautiful SI2
